The .hgignore file

You can tell Mercurial to ignore some files, matching a pattern. To do this, you need to create a .hgignore file at the root of your repository.

The syntax can be Glob or RegExp.

Here is an example:

syntax: glob
*.class
bin/*
target/*
.DS_Store
*~
META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
